Bay Path opens USCAA Pool Play with 3-1 loss to Bluefield State

The Bay Path University "Wildcats" began their quest for a USCAA DI National Championship title with a 3-1 defeat to #2 seed Bluefield State College in Virginia Beach, VA  on Thursday.  Bluefield opened with a 25-10 first set win in dominating fashion after falling behind 5-4 early in the math.  The Wildcats were led by Sr. Lydia Clifford, (Coventry, R.I.) in the 2nd set with a tough 25-22 win to even the match at 1-1.  The Big Blue then closed out set #3 with a 25-16 win and 25-10 win to win the match 3-1.

The "Wildcats" were led by Cliffords 7 kills and 15 digs,  Lilly Kibbe, Fr., (Ware, Mass.) also chipped in with 5 kills and 15 digs in the match.

 

Bay Path will resume USCAA Pool Play action on Friday, 11/12 with an 11 am matchup with #3 seed Carlow University at the Virginia Beach Field House.
