Bay Path Competes in Mayflower Cross Country Invitational, Brumaghim Leads Wildcats

HENNIKER, H.H.- The Wildcat harriers finished 10^th out of 11 teams at the Mayflower Cross Country Invitational on Friday, August 31^st in the first race of the 2012 season hosted by New England College. Bay Path score a 243 with seven runners competing in the 5K. Husson topped all teams with a score of 26 with their top five runners placing in the top ten. Clearing the chute first for the day was Babson sophomore Marina Capalbo with a time of 20:43. There were 96 runners on the course for the day.

Freshman Lian Brumaghim (Newtown, Conn.) lead the way for the Wildcats finishing 29^th overall with a time of 25:09. Coming in second for the Wildcats was sophomore Jessica Fields (Enfield, Conn.) with a time of 28:03 (58^th place). The third runner to cross the line was junior Katrina Trajkovski (Wilbraham, Mass.) with a 29:24 (66^th place). Close behind was senior Danielle Brown (Nashua, N.H.) in 68^th place (29:36). Rounding out the top five was the 70^th runner to clear the chute sophomore Olivia Bis (South Windsor, Conn.) finishing the 5K in 29:44.

Senior Jennifer Scionti (Cromwell, Conn.) and freshman Megan Wise (Chicopee, Mass.) were clocked at 30:53 and 31:36 respectively. Bay Path will be back in action on Saturday, September 8^th at Smith College Invitational.
