Wildcat Harriers Slated 6th in NECC Preseason Poll

ATTLEBORO, Mass.-

Lesley University was the unanimous selection to claim the NECC women's cross country title this year in a vote of the conference coaches. The five-time defending NECC champs earned 64 points and eight first place votes.

The Lynx run in search of a sixth consecutive NECC title in 2013. Lesley is led by 2012 Rookie of the Year Emilia McGrath along with seniors Leah Miller and Jackie Rosa.

Mitchell placed second in the poll after two straight runner-up finishes at the conference meet. The Mariners will be paced by the 2011 Rookie of the Year Bridget Burns along with sophomore Sheilah Newcity. Elms was third followed by Southern Vermont, Newbury, Bay Path, Regis and Daniel Webster. Regis is competing in their first season of varsity cross country.
