Bay Path opens X-C season in Southern Vermont Mountaineer Invitational with a 5th place finish.

Bay Path University returned a harriers squad to the cross-country course this weekend when the team competed in the Southern Vermont Mountaineer Invitational. The runners traversed the 5K mountainous terrain that is located on the Edward Everett Estate nestled in the side of Mt. Anthony, Bennington, Vt.

The Wildcats finished fifth out of a field of 8 teams, a solid start to what is the beginning of a new era for the cross county program. Lead by first year Briana Serrao, (Chicopee, Mass.) finishing 13th (24:55), followed by Megan Bachand, (Granby, Mass.) 27th (27:26) and Bennington, VT senior, Megan McKenna 37th (29:31). First-year Kamryn McCorison, (Southwick, Mass.) (30:38) and Ana Figueroa-Delgado, (Chicopee, Mass.) (31:24) rounded out the scoring finishing 40th and 42nd respectively.

 The Bay Path harriers will compete next on September 8, 2018 at the Smith College Invtitational with a 10:00am start.
