Wildcats Softball Tabbed as NFCA All-Academic Team
The Bay Path College softball team was recently honored by the National Fistpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for being named to the Girls Got Game/NFCA All-Academic Team.
Bay Path posted a team GPA of 3.380, which was 24th best in the NCAA Division III category. The Wildcats were the only NECC team to make the top 100.
The Girls Got Game/NFCA Academic Awards program honors both collegiate and high school teams for their submitted GPAs for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Emily Evans, Jen Scionti, Jessica Nizinski, Jessica Priestly, Kellie Lastowski, Samantha Gunseth, Sarah Gates, and Vanessa Chaplin also received individual recognition and were named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes. Each had a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
