NECC All Conference Teams Announced

Lesley senior third baseman Jenna Fralick was named NECC Softball Player of the Year in a vote of he conference coaches. Fralick led the NECC in batting with a robust .549 average during league games while playing a flawless hot corner to the tune of a 1.000 fielding percentage. The switch hitter was a perfect 11-11 in stolen base attempts in NECC games, finishing second with nine walks, third with 28 hits and ninth with 17 RBI. 

Lesley sophomore picther Jennifer Dorval of Lesley was named the NECC Pitcher of the Year. Dorval, who earned NECC Player and Rookie of the Year honors a season ago, was again the league's most dominant pitcher. Her 10 wins in league play led all pitchers, as did her 0.27 ERA and her 11 strikeouts per game. The first team all-confernece selection hit .452 when at the plate with eight runs scored, and 12 RBI.

Mitchell freshman Lindsey Romagnino was named NECC Rookie of the Year. Romagnino batted a team-high .492 to lead all NECC freshmen while leading all players in home runs. The freshman outfielder was also ranked among the conference leaders with 22 RBI (2nd), a .787 slugging percentage (3rd), 24 runs scored (5th) and a .551 on-base percentage (6th).

First year head coach Danielle DelPonte was named NECC Coach of the Year by her peers. With just 5 returning players, DelPonte took the Eagles to the NECC tournament engingeering a seven win turnaround posting a 12-6 regular season mark this year.

Southern Vermont College was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Additional players honored are due to ties in the voting.
