Day 3- March 15, 2017 - Recap
Game #1- SUNY-Canton
Bay Path started Day 3 with a seesaw battle with SUNY-Canton before losing 8-6. Each team led throughout the game but SUNY-Canton scored the last 3 runs to secure the victory. Madison Goodhart's record fell to 2-1.
The offense was led by Audrey Stepp who recorded her 1st intercollegiate hit in the 5th inning and Jailinne Ruiz had 2 hits for the "Wildcats".
Bay Path improves to 3-2 and next up is Wisconsin-Stout at 11:30 am.
Game #2- Wisconsin-Stout
The final game of the day was a rematch from the 2016 Fastpitch Dreams Classic where Bay Path was beaten 12-0 by Wisconsin-Stout. This time around the tables were turned as the "Wildcats" defeated them 8-3 to get a split of the days games. Bay Path jumped out to a 2 run lead after one inning but Wisconsin-Stout got them back in the bottom of the 2nd. It stayed tied until the 4th inning when the "Wildcats" pushed across 4 runs with some timely hitting. Offensively the "Wildcats" were led by Keyla Oliveras who had 4 hits, 3 runs and 2 stolen bases, Lilly West who had 2 hits and 1 rbi's and Krystal Fredette who also had 2 hits.
First-year pitcher, Felicia Gaillardetz went the distance striking to improve her record to 2-1.
Bay Path is now 4-2 and plays on 3/16/17 at 11:30 am vs. Albertus Magnus College and 1:30 pm vs. College of Mount St. Vincent
