Wildcats Suffer Hard Fought Loss to Becker

LEICESTER, Mass. – Becker College defeated Bay Path College 22-3 in New England Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse action Saturday morning at Alumni Field. The win lifts the Hawks to 4-8 (2-0 NECC), while the Wildcats fall to 1-2 (0-2 NECC).



Becker was led by junior forward Ashley Mossey (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) who scored a game high six goals and collected five draw controls. Sophomore Mindy Moreau (Canterbury, Conn.) netted four goals, while Christina Boucher (Pawcatuck, Conn.) chipped in with a hat-trick. Alyssa Bond (Thompson, Conn.) played tremendous defense for the Hawks, causing seven turnovers.



Becker goalie Shelby Wicks (Shaftsbury, Vt.) made five saves in a winning effort.



The wildcats received goals from Nicole Mitchell (Hopkinton, N.H.), Megan Tancredi (Newington, Conn.) and Jillian O'Melia (East Longmeadow, Mass.).



Bay Path keeper Elizabeth Barclay (Auburn, Maine) turned away 12 shots in the loss.



The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, April 16 when they travel to The Elms College at 7:00 p.m.
