BOSTON, Mass. -- The Wheelock College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Wildcats of Bay Path University, 7-1, this afternoon at Winsor Field.

Wheelock netted the first goal of the game, as senior forward Alison DeGloria (Chelmsford, Mass.) found a wide openElizabeth Yepes (East Boston, Mass.) in just the fifth minute of the contest.

Bay Path worked over the next five minutes to respond back, eventually tying things up as Kristen Lynch (Belchertown, Mass.) was credited with the equalizer at 9:50. The visitors were able to enter the break with a 3-1 lead, thanks to a Joanna Feliciano (Springfield, Mass.) goal from Olivia Feliciano (Springfield, Mass.) in the 19th minute.

Over half of the Bay Path damage would end up being done in the second period, as they poured in five more markers in that timeframe. Elena Helming (Maplewood, N.J.) kicked things off with an unassisted goal at 48:12, lifting her team to a 4-1 lead. The final four tallies for the visitors all belonged to sophomore forward Jaillene Ruiz (Hadley, Mass.), who led all players on the field with eight points.

Sophomore keeper Dominique DelBene (Peabody, Mass.) turned aside five saves in the loss, while Caitlyn Esposito earned the win for Bay Path, also making five saves.
