Watson, Walsh and Wood Named All NECC Women's Tennis

ATTLEBORO, Mass.- New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Commissioner, Del Malloy, announced the 2012 NECC Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team today. On Saturday, October 20th Regis College won the first tournament championship defeating Bay Path College 5-4, with the conclusion of the season the All-Conference Team was announced with eleven student-athletes earning honors in both singles and doubles action. Bay Path’s junior Symone Watson (Hamden, Conn.) was named first team in singles, while the freshman duo Brittany Walsh (North Smithfield, R.I.) and Taylor Wood (Castleton, N.Y.) garnered second team honors in singles play as well.

The Wildcat's Tennis team announces the selection of freshman Teanna Montoya and sophomore Symone Watson as the fall 2012 Captains. Montoya and Watson are both key players on the tennis court, combining for a total 19-8 singles record and a 20-5 doubles record.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. - #2 Bay Path College defeated #3 Lesley University today in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s tennis semi-final action after a rain-out match rescheduled from Wednesday. The Wildcats won 5-1 over the Lynx stopping play after the fifth point was won. Bay Path will travel to the top seed Becker tomorrow to vie for the title at a 1:00 p.m. start time.
