Bay Path Wildcats fall to Simmons Sharks

BOSTON, Mass.- Simmons Field Hockey romped to their second shutout of the season, 9-0, over Pay Path College on Saturday at home. Freshman TJ Cowin (Newry Maine) led the Simmons offense with 3 goals and 2 assists on the day to boost the team to 2-2 overall, while Bay Path fell to 0-3 on the season.

The Sharks played a mostly uncontested match, holding the Wildcats to zero shots and no corners. Simmons saw scoring from six different players;Brigid Rushe (Belmont, Mass.), Monica Doucette(Rockport, Maine), Katelyn Tighe (Easton, Mass.),Erin Tollios (North Falmouth, Mass.), Marianna Brown (Newton, N.H.), and Cowin.

"I was very happy with the number of assists we had," said Head Coach Amanda Maxwell. "I love this stat because it shows that we are a team and play as a team."
