Bay Path Defeated in Opening Tri-Match vs. Fitchburg State University and Dean College

FITCHBURG, Mass. - September 2, 2023 – The Bay Path University women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches on Saturday. After dropping a 3-0 decision to Dean College and then to host Fitchburg State University with a 3-0 score.  They fall to 0-2 on the season.  

THE BASICS:

Bay Path University 0, Dean College 3– (22-25, 12-25, 17-25) 

HOW IT HAPPENED: Match One

Junior Lilly Kibbe (Ware, Mass.) and Anastasiya Tsetsko (Horsham, PA) led Bay Path with six kills apiece and five digs. First-year Isabella Melo (Webster, MA) contributed three kills and seven assists.  Junior setter Mayouri Yath (Ludlow, MA) had 14 assists and 3 digs.

Bay Path University 1, Fitchburg State University 3– (25-15, 12-25, 20-25, 15-25)

Sophomore Anastasiya Tsetsko (Horsham, PA) led Bay Path with eight kills.  First-year Isabella Melo (Webster, MA) contributed four kills and nine digs.  Senior Zyiasia Knighton (Springfield, Mass.) had twenty digs, three assists and a servie ace for the Wildcats.
