Bay Path Earns 3-0 Sweep Thursday Night

 LONGMEADOW, MA – The Bay Path University volleyball team dominated the action on Thursday night
as the Wildcats swept Albertus Magnus, 3-0. The win was the seventh of the season for Bay Path.


The Wildcats took the contest, 25-14, 25-14, 25-20 as Bay Path hit .244 on the evening, opposed to just
.065 for their opponent. Bay Path dominated at the service line, recording 13 aces, seven of those
courtesy of Lilly Kibbe. In the opening set, the Falcons tied things up at 13-13, but Bay Path used its
strong serving from Kibbe to rattle off 11 straight points, taking a commanding 24-13 lead. The Wildcats
would go on to win the set 25-14.


In the second set, Bay Path again raced out to the early lead as a block from Asja Kazic and Victoria
Burkovskiy opened a 9-2 advantage. Albertus Magnus would pull within 13-9, but got no closer as Bay
Path scored its second straight 25-14 victory in set two.


The Wildcats would need to fight their way back in the third as Albertus Magnus opened a 7-2 lead. They
continued to lead 14-12 when Bay Path scored the next four points, taking the lead for good. A kill by
Mckenzie Labier clinched the victory for Bay Path.


Anastasiya Tsetsko led the way with nine kills, followed by six each from Kibbe and Labier. Michelle
Santiago dished out 14 assists, while KyLee Finch added 10. Santiago also had three service aces.
Defensively, Shanayah St Phard had eight digs, followed by seven from Finch and six from Santiago. Kazic
had a team-high three blocks, while Tsetsko and Labier each had two.


Bay Path continues its three-match homestand on Saturday afternoon when the Wildcats host Southern
Maine CC at 3pm at the Longmeadow Adult Center.
