Bay Path University on Tuesday traveled to SUNY-Purchase to play a doubleheader and lost a pair of games 3-2 & 4-3.
Game 1 Highlights 3-2 (2-11)
Bay Path University got a complete game effort from all three phases; offense, defense and pitching to stay close with the SUNY-Panthers. Despite pounding out 10 hits and stranding 8 runners the Wildcast could not push across the winning run in the 7th inning. The Wildcats were led by Madisyn Vera (East Hartford, Conn.) who had 3 hits all doubles and Alexandra Henderson (Haddam, Conn.) added a pair of hits.
Daisy Guzman (Maricopa, AZ) (L, 1-6) started and tossed a complete game for Bay Path allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and 3 K's.
Game 2 Highlights 4-3 (2-12)
Game two of the doubleheader was again a back and forth game with each team leading through 5 innings. The Wildcats manged 5 hits and left 6 runners on base, unable to push across the tying or good ahead run in the 6th or 7th innings and falling to a 4-3 final score.
The "Wildcats" had 6 hits in the game led by Emma Scheeren (Schaghticoke, NY) with a pair of hits.
Scheeren (L, 1-6) took the loss in pitching the 2nd game of the doubleheader while allowing 1 earned run on 7 hits.

Bay Path University plays host on April 9, 2022 vs. Lesley University with a 12 pm and 2 pm start. They will then take to the road and play CCRI on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 12 pm and 2 pm.
