Bay Path University hosted a doubleheader vs. Central Maine CC on Saturday and was swept in a doubleheader 11-0 & 9-1. Bay Path University recognized senior, Kamryn McCorison (Southwick, Mass.) between games. McCorison, a team captain was presented gifts and flowers by her teammates.
Game 1 Highlights 11-1 (2-19)
Bay Path got behind early through three innings 11-1 and were unable to close the gap. The Wildcats scored their only run in the bottom of the 3rd on a a RBI double by Taylor Suffoletto (Warwick, RI) driving in Jailynn Harrigan (East Hartford, Conn.) with their only run.
Daisy Guzman (Maricopa, AZ) (L, 1-10) started and tossed a complete game for Bay Path.
Game 2 Highlights 9-0 (2-20)
The 2nd game of the doubleheader started with Bay Path taking a 1-0 lead at the end of the 1st. CMCC then scored the next 7 runs over 4 innings to take 7-1 lead. The Wildcats were unable to score and eventually fell to a 9-1 loss after 7 innings.
The "Wildcats" had 5 hits in the game led by Daisy Guzman (Maricopa, AZ) with a pair of hits.
Emma Scheeren (L, 1-10) took the loss in pitching the 2nd game of the doubleheader.
