Eagles Fly Past Wildcats 62-49

HOLYOKE, MASS.- Despite a tough 62-49 loss to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Daniel Webster College senior guard Dallas Jackson (Springfield, Mass.) led all players with 23 points. Jackson went 3-for-5 from downtown and added seven steals, five rebounds and four assists. The Wildcats are now 1-7 on the season and 0-4, while the Eagles are now 2-9 and 1-3 in the NECC.

Daniel Webster had three players scoring in double figures today with junior guard Escarlin Reynoso (Lawrence, Mass.) notching a double double scoring 22 points and tied for game high eleven boards. Senior guard Kayla Free (Quincy, Mass.) wasn't far behind with 16 points. Senior forward Brianna Diggs (Washington, D.C.) notched the other double double tallying 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Senior guard Brenna Roy (Stafford Springs, Conn.) added 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.

The fourth quarter was the catalyst in the Eagles victory outscoring the Wildcats 27 to 17 points with both teams flip-flopping most of the first 20 minutes.  Daniel Webster took advantage of turnovers scoring 23 of the points to Bay Path's 14 for the game.

The Wildcats will face New England College on the road tomorrow at a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.  Daniel Webster will host NECC foe Mitchell on Tuesday, January 10th at 5:30 p.m.
