Jackson selected NECC All-2nd Team for basketball

Senior, Dallas Jackson was selected to the NECC Women's Basketball All-NECC 2nd team as voted by the conference coaches.  Jackson was a 3rd Team All-NECC selection in 2015-16. 

She led or was in the top 10 in many NECC catagories; 2nd in NECC scoring at 19.3/g, 1st in steals with 4/g, top 5 in assists/g with 4.2 and top 10 in rebounds per game with 10.7.  She also finished her career with 1,027 points, ranking her 6th all-time.

Senior Krystal Fredette was also selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team for the 2016-17 season.

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Regis College headlines the NECC Women's Basketball All-Conference Awards as Brittany Stone and Amanda Hawkesworth receive Player and Defensive Player of the Year respectively.

Stone has been outstanding in her junior campaign, shooting 64.9 percent from the floor across the 18 NECC games. In that stance she has scored 18.7 points per game and collected 9.9 rebounds. The West Bridgewater, Mass. native is a large part of the Pride's explosive offense this season, which leads the league with 76.4 points per game.

Sharing the offensive and defensive load with Stone, is senior teammate Amanda Hawkesworth. The reigning NECC Player of the Year made her presence known on the defensive end of the court as she averaged more then a charge per game throughout the season.

This years NECC Rookie of the Year accolades went to Becker's Cassidy Harrison, who has had an instant impact for he Hawks this season. In her rookie campaign Harrison has averaged 15.5 points per game, while shooting 36.4 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from behind the arc. The Hawks have had a breakout season under the 2016 NECC Coach of the Year, David Bostick, as voted on by his peers. Bostick is in his third year as the head coach at Becker leading the team to the NECC Semifinals and an impressive seven more conference wins then a season ago.

Newbury College finished with two members on the All-NECC First team, as they were represented by sophomore Savannah Olsen and junior Destiny Spears. The Nighthawks were led by Olsen offensively leading the conference with 20.1 points per game league play. Spears made a large impact on the offensive end averaging 19.1 points per game in conference play, which landed her third. The junior also collected 12.4 rebounds on average for second in the league.

The final member of the NECC First Team was senior Michelle Woods from Wheelock College. Woods was a key factor in the Wildcats making their first ever NECC Women's Basketball Semifinal. The Wilmington, Mass. native led the Wildcats with 16.6 points per game throughout conference play.
