Wildcats Fall 18-8 to Mountaineers in NECC Women’s Lacrosse Match

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Despite playing down most of the game, the Wildcats of Bay Path still managed to score eight points in an 18-8 loss to New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent the Southern Vermont Mountaineers. Junior Mel Orrell (Gloucester, Mass.) led all players with seven goals and one assist for the game, while Bay Path was topped by sophomore Elena Helming (Maplewood, N.J.) with four goals.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Sophomore Elena Helming (Maplewood, N.J.) recorded the game high nine goals and tops the fledgling programs all-time single game record for most goals scored for the Wildcats of Bay Path. The Falcons pulled off a 12-10 upset in the final three minutes of play garnering Albertus Magnus’ first win on the season, despite a first half lead of 4-2 by the Wildcats.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Seniors Kailee Ruyack (Beacon, N.Y.) and Rachel Welling (Charlestown, N.H.) scored five goals apiece and eight other Hawks scored single goals to lead Becker College to an 18-1 victory over Bay Path University in a New England Collegiate Conference women’s lacrosse game at Ryan Field. Senior Taylor Wood (Castleton, N.Y.) collected the Wildcats’ only goal of the contest, burying a pass from sophomore Elena Helming (Maplewood, N.J.) with 18:37 to play in the opening frame.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Six different Mariners found the back of the net to lead Mitchell College to a 21-2 victory over Bay Path University in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s lacrosse action at Ryan Field. Bay Path scored a season-best two goals, with junior Brenna Roy (Stafford Springs, Conn.) notching an unassisted goal with 24:25 to play in the first half and sophomore Kaylee Herring (Worcester, Vt.) depositing an unassisted tally with 5:09 to play in the contest.
