Field Hockey Earns National Academic Team Award; Nine Players Honored

The Bay Path College field hockey team was named to the 2009 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate National Academic Team. In addition, nine players from the team earned recognition on the 2009 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

Wheelock Field Hockey Spreads out Offense, Defeats Bay Path

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wheelock Wildcat field hockey team spread out the offense with six different players netting goals in a 6-0 victory over Bay Path College on Saturday afternoon in conference play. The win sets up Tuesday evening’s New England Collegiate Conference semi-final, as number two Wheelock hosts number four Elms College at 6:00 pm at Winsor Field in Boston.

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Freshman forward Katie Bruno (Middletown, N.J.) led the Ramapo College of New Jersey Roadrunners in a 10-0 rout of the Bay Path College Wildcats in NCAA Division III women’s field hockey action. Bruno shelled out the first two goals of the game along with two assists for six points.

PAXTON, Mass. – Junior Emily Nugent (Worcester, Mass.) had a hat-trick and an assist to lead the Anna Maria College field hockey team past Bay Path College, 7-0, at AMCAT Field on Wednesday evening. The win was the first of the year for the AMCATS, who now improve to 1-5 overall while remaining 0-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 0-5 overall and stay 0-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference.
