Field Hockey Earns National Academic Team Award; Nine Players Honored

The Bay Path College field hockey team was named to the 2009 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate National Academic Team.

In addition, nine players from the team earned recognition on the 2009 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. Players named to the National Academic Squad include: Kim Barbato (Saylorsburg, Pa.), Elizabeth Barclay (Auburn, Maine), Samantha Bosco (Bridgewater, Mass.), Lauren Czaikowski (Glastonburry, Ct.), Sarah Gates (Crown Point, Ind.), Maddie Jones (Brattleboro, Vt.), Lindsie Lavin (Feeding Hills, Mass.), Jessica Priestly (Middleboro, Mass.), and Racquela Richard (Providence, RI.).

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2009-10 academic year. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2009-10 academic year.
