Game Recap- Game #1 vs. Penn State Dubois

Despite a 5-run deficit in the third inning, Bay Path University Wildcats almost came all the way back, eventually falling 5-3 to Penn-State-DuBois on Monday at North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Bay Path University Wildcats closed the gap by scoring on a ground out and a single.

Penn-State-DuBois jumped out to the lead in the top of the third inning after M Baney singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, K Stuart singled, scoring two runs, and Isabelle Ferrara, induced N Bowser to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Ferrara started the game for Bay Path University Wildcats. The right-handed pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs (four earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.

Grace Ramsey led the Bay Path University Wildcats with three hits in four at bats. Emma Scheeren stole two bases. Bay Path University Wildcats worked the count all day, amassing five walks. Bay Path University Wildcats turned one double play in the game.

P Plata and Stuart each collected two hits for Penn-State-DuBois. Baney and Bowser each drove in one run for Penn-State-DuBois.

Next up for Bay Path University Wildcats is a game at Penn State-Mont Alto on Monday at 1 pm.

 

 

Game Recap- Game #2 vs. Penn State Mont Alto

Penn State-Mont Alto scored five runs in the seventh inning, which helped them defeat Bay Path University Wildcats 8-1 on Monday at North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex.

Penn State-Mont Alto got on the board in the top of the first inning after M Sas singled, and P Loudensloger grounded out, each scoring one run.

Madison Sunderland opened the game for Bay Path University Wildcats. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking one. 

Madison Tessmer and Taylor Suffoletto each collected two hits for Bay Path University Wildcats.

Caroline Austin led Bay Path University Wildcats with one run batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Bay Path University Wildcats turned one double play in the game.

Penn State-Mont Alto collected 13 hits in the game.  Penn State-Mont Alto were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Sas had the most chances in the field with five.

Bay Path University Wildcats will play next vs. Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday, March 5 at 11 am.
