Day Three- Bay Path Finishes the Spring Break Trip by Winning 2 of 3 games

Recap Game #5- vs. Malone University

Malone University scored four runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Bay Path University Wildcats 6-0 on Thursday at North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex.

Malone University got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Canthorne singled, scoring three runs, Smith tripled, scoring two runs, and Zupan singled, scoring one run.

Alyssa Kreischer pitched three innings in relief for Bay Path University Wildcats. The righty gave up four hits and two runs while striking out one and walking two.

Jenna Boudreau opened the game for Bay Path University Wildcats. The right-handed pitcher gave up 10 hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking none.

Kissick led things off in the circle for Malone University. They allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking two.

Caroline Austin and Madison Sunderland each collected one hit for Bay Path University Wildcats.

Bay Path University Wildcats will play Penn State Beaver for their next game on Thursday at 1 pm.

 

Recap Game #6- vs. Penn State Beaver 

Bay Path University Wildcats were victorious against Penn State Beaver 6-4 on Thursday at North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex.

Bay Path University Wildcats opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Bay Path University Wildcats first got on the board when Grace Ramsey singled, scoring one run.

Bay Path University Wildcats stretched the lead to 6-3, in the top of the seventh after Madisyn Vera doubled, Ramsey singled, and Caroline Austin singled, each scoring one run.

Madison Sunderland stepped in the circle first for Bay Path University Wildcats. She surrendered 11 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking five.

Bay Path University Wildcats collected 13 hits in the game. Ramsey and Austin were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Bay Path University Wildcats.

Ramsey and Austin were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Bay Path University Wildcats.

Emma Scheeren collected two hits for Bay Path University Wildcats in four at bats. Bay Path University Wildcats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Isabella Ferrara made the most plays with seven.

Bay Path University Wildcats will play Lancaster Bible College in their final game of the Spring break Trip at 7 pm. 

 

Recap Game #7- vs. Lancaster Bible College 

Bay Path University Wildcats got out to a 5-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 6-4 victory over Lancaster Bible College on Thursday.

Bay Path University Wildcats were the first to get on the board in the second when Ansley Morrison doubled, scoring one run. Bay Path University Wildcats added one run in the third after Caroline Austin hit a sacrifice fly.

Isabelle Ferrara earned the win for Bay Path University Wildcats. The righty allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Noelle Martin took the loss for Lancaster Bible College. She went five innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on 13 hits, striking out none and walking five.

Jenna Boudreau collected her 1st save of the season.

Bay Path University Wildcats amassed 13 hits in the game. Madisyn Vera went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Bay Path University Wildcats in hits. Emma Scheeren, Taylor Suffoletto, Austin, and Morrison each drove in one run for Bay Path University Wildcats. Austin led the Bay Path University Wildcats with two walks.

Bay Path University returns back north to open its season on March 19, 2024 with a pair of games at Mass Maritime Academy.
