Wildcats Lose Heartbreaker 1-0 against Eagles

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Bay Path falls 1-0 in the final two minutes of play 1-0 against the Eagles of Green Mountain. The Eagles' junior midfielder Maegon Laymon (Ilion, N.Y.) broke away in the 89th minute of play off a cross up the middle by freshman midfielder Rebecca Gollub (Annapolis, Md.) to score the game winner.

Sophomore goal keeper Alma Rizvani (Prospect, Conn.) suffered the loss despite facing 24 shots and notching 11 saves for the contest.

Junior keeper Kim Simonetti (Salem, Mass.) earned the shut-out facing 22 shots adding 11 saves.

Green Mountain is now 1-2 on the season, while Bay Path falls to 1-4 overall. The Wildcats will be back in action Wednesday, September 17th traveling to MCLA for a 4:30 p.m. match. The Eagles also play on Wednesday next facing Clarkson on the road for a 5:00 p.m. start.
