Costa and Pagan Earn Weekly NECC Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bay Path College junior Sarah Costa (Tiverton, R.I.) led the Wildcats to a 2-0 opening week. Costa was undefeated at the #2 singles position while going 1-1 in the #1 doubles. She defeated Newbury’s Kristen Connors 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 in three sets to turn the match to the Wildcats advantage defeating the Nighthawks 5-4in NECC action. Bay Path also defeated St. Joseph (Conn.) 7-2.

Volleyball

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK — Bay Path College sophomore libero Victoria Pagan(Hamden, Conn.) helped the Wildcats to one of their best season starts going 1-2 on the week and 2-2 overall. The Wildcats defeated Johnson State 3-0 and fell to Mt. Holyoke 3-0 and Anna Maria 3-1. She had 21 digs for the week. Pagan finished with 2.33 digs per set.
