Bay Path Falls 3-0 in Volleyball Action Against Albertus Magnus

HOLYOKE, Mass.-Despite the 3-0 loss, Bay Path's sophomore outside hitter Nadine Harkless (Westfield, Mass.) led the Wildcats with ten kills, eight digs and eleven points. The Wildcats fell 3-0 to the Falcons of Albertus Magnus 25-21, 25-22 and 25-20 in three close sets tonight at the Bartley Center at HCC in NCAA Division III women's volleyball action.

Falcons' sophomore middle hitter Elizabeth Williams (West Haven, Conn.) led all hitters with .308 attack percentage and the match high eleven kills. She added eight digs and one block solo for 15 points. Two freshman teammates defensive specialist Krista LiBissoniere (Meriden, Conn.) and setter Maritza Rosemond (New Haven, Conn.) swung for a .600 hitting percentage each with three kills apiece. Rosemond tallied 15 assists, while LiBissoniere had 12 assists and 14 digs for the double-double.

Sophomore middle hitter Tiffany Ortiz (New Haven, Conn.) added ten kills. Rounding out the scoring was freshman middle blocker Melissa Stasiak (Chesire, Conn.) with six kills and six digs.

Bay Path's freshman setter Ashley Provost (Ludlow, Mass.) hit .400 for the night, while grabbing the match high 17 assists and added eight digs. Junior middle hitter Dani Turner (Bellow Falls, Vt.) had a .200 attack percentage with five kills and two block solos. Junior defensive specialist Davi Chuong (Easthampton, Mass.) topped the Wildcats with 12 digs. Junior Kathleen Rodrigue (W. Stewartstown, N.H.) and sophomore Michelle Huang (Boston, Mass.) combined for six digs.

Albertus Magnus is now 2-6 overall while Bay Path is 0-12. The Wildcats will host NECC opponents Becker and Southern Vermont in a tri-match on Saturday, October 3rd beginning at 10:00 a.m.
