WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College field hockey team picked up its first New England Collegiate Conference win on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 victory over visiting Bay Path College. The Pride improves to 2-9 overall and 1-1 in the NECC while the Wildcats drop to 2-7 and 0-2 in the league. Katherine Chabot (Brookfield, Mass.) led the Bay Path attack, taking six shots.

Longmeadow, Mass.-Anna Maria College prevailed in their first ever New England Collegiate Conference match in true sudden death style winning 2-1 over new conference rivals the Wildcats of Bay Path 2-1 in women’s field hockey overtime action. Sophomore forward Brooke Denver (New Britain, Conn.) notched the game winner in the 79th minute of play off a cross inside from senior midfielder Katie Schebel (Ludlow, Mass.).

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Wildcats freshman midfielder Amanda Bridge (Laconia, N.H.) broke up the scoreless match in the 45th minute after coming back from the break with a shot inside slipping through the sticks. This goal would eventually become the game winner with Bay Path shutting out their NECC rival Elms College 3-0 today at the Ryan Field in field hockey action.

LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Bay Path fell 4-2 to the Simmons Sharks in the Wildcats first home contest of the 2011 field hockey campaign today at Brantley Field. Two freshman Wildcats forward Katherine Chabot (Brookfield, Mass.) and midfielder Amanda Bridge (Laconia, N.H.) tallied their first career goals despite the tough home loss.

AURORA, N.Y.- The Wildcats of Bay Path fell 5-0 in field hockey action to Wells College today on the road. Wells’ Avary McKinney notched the first goal and eventual game winner at 4:37 on the clock. Avary would repeat at 23:12 with teammate Kweita Holmes finishing off the scoring in the first half heading into the break 3-0.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y -- The Vassar College field hockey team's hopes of repeating as Betty Richey Tournament champions were dashed on Saturday as Manhattanville College team won the 23rd annual Betty Richey Tournament with a 4-1 victory over Vassar at Weinberg Field. In the consolation game match-up the Wildcats of Bay Path were unable to overtake Smith College falling 12-1. Junior forward Deanna Flagg (Enfield, Mass.) once again broke up the shut-out for their opponent scoring two goals during the tournament.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.- In a rematch of last year's Betty Richey Tournament Championship game, the Vassar College women's field hockey team knocked off Smith College in dominating fashion with a 6-2 win in the opening game of the 23rd Annual Betty Richey Tournament Friday evening at Weinberg Field. In game two of the night, the Wildcats of Bay Path making their first ever appearance in the tourney fell 9-1 to Manhattanville College.
