Wildcats Claw BlueJays 64-55

WEST HARTFORD, Conn, Nov. 24, 2009 -- Senior forward Jessica Hunt (Madison, Conn.) scored 19 points and senior guard Christina Calabrese (Hamilton, N.J.) 17 as Bay Path College defeated Saint Joseph College 64-55 in a non-conference game Tuesday at the O'Connell Center.

Hunt along with senior forward Ashley Cimmino (Westfield, Mass.) led all rebounders each with nine boards for the contest. Cimmino chipped in 11 points and two assists. Also scoring in the double figures for the evening was sophomore forward Nadine Harkless (Westfield, Mass.) with ten points, while adding six rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Coming off the bench Calabrese went a sizzling 11-for-12 from the line. She also had a game high six assists and added five boards. Senior center Kathleen Rodrigue (W. Stewartstown, N.H.)  finished with four points and five rebounds.

Junior guard Ilaria Schiano (Wallingford, Conn.) scored a team-high 19 points for Saint Joseph, which got outrebounded 48-28. Freshman Hayley Torres (Hamden, Conn.) had 11 points and nine rebounds for Saint Joseph and junior Nathalie Mastarreno (Glastonbury, Conn.) and sophomore Samantha Royce (Portland, Conn.) scored 11 each.

Baypath improved to 2-3; Saint Joseph is 3-3. Saint Joseph plays the last of its seven home games to open the season when it hosts Wesleyan, Tuesday December 1 at 7 p.m. Bay Path will face Anna Maria on Sunday, November 29th at 2:00 p.m. on the road.
