Basketball and SAAC Support WBCA Pink Zone Initiative

Basketball and SAAC Support WBCA Pink Zone Initiative

The Bay Path Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the women's basketball team hosted a "Pink Zone" game on Thursday, February 28th. The Bay Path effort was conducted in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "Pink Zone" initiative.

Bay Path raised $424.00 in the effort. All of the proceeds will benefit the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.

SAAC raised money and awareness by setting up a table during lunch and at basketball games, where they sold pink t-shirts, beads and ribbons. Fans were also asked to wear pink during the game on Thursday.

The WBCA Pink ZoneTM initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
