Wildcats Split in Hunter Tip-Off Tournament

NEW YORK, N.Y. – This past weekend the women's basketball team hosted the Hunter College Tip-Off Tournament.  Stevens Tech, Old Westbury, and Bay Path College all traveled to the Hunter Sportsplex to compete. Bay Path defeated host Hunter 68-58 in the opening day and fell to Stevens Tech 83-39 in the final day of play.

Junior forward Kayla Skiffington (East Longmeadow,Mass.) led all wildcats with 36 points for the tourney and 13 rebounds. For her efforts Skiffington was named to the Hunter College Tip-Off All Tournament Team.

Against the Hawks, Skiffington tallied 21 points and six boards. Junior guard Justine Hook (Berwick, Penn.) led all players with the game high 22 points. Defensively sophomore guard Katherine Chabot (Brookfield, Mass.) pulled down ten boards, while junior forward Taylor Riley (Colchester, Vt.) came off the bench to grab nine rebounds. Bay Path out rebounded Hunter 52-48

Skiffington led the way in the tough loss against the Ducks of Stephens Tech with 15 points. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, no other player could step up and help with the scoring. Chabot was the second highest scorer for Bay Path with seven points. Riley led Bay Path with eight rebounds.

Bay Path finishes with a 1-1 record.
