The Pride Claw Past the Wildcats 72-37

HOLYOKE, Mass.- Despite a tough loss for the Wildcats of Bay Path College 72-37 to top ranked Regis College Pride in New England Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball action, junior forward Kayla Skiffington (East Longmeadow, Mass.) topped all scorers with 16 points. The Pride continue to hold the top spot with a 7-0 NECC record and 10-4 overall, while Bay Path falls to 7-6 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.

Coming off the bench, sophomore center Monet Lowe (Framingham, Mass.) led the Pride with 15 points hitting 6-for-8 from the field.  Sophomore starting forward Kim Daniels (Jaffrey, N.H.) was a force behind the three-point line hitting four treys finishing with 14 points, while junior forward Claire Ramonas (Portland, Maine) topped all players defensively pulling out a double double for Regis with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Senior guard Brittney Alexander (Enfield, Conn.) provided a much needed spark from the bench for the Wildcats finding a way to penetrate the basket finishing with nine points and four boards.

Regis outhustled the Wildcats under the glass with 40 rebounds to Bay Path's 24 for the game. The Pride also scored 23 points off of Bay Path turnovers.

Bay Path will be back in action hosting Lesley at a 1:00 p.m. tip off on Saturday, January 19th, while Regis hosts Elms at 1:00 p.m. as well Saturday.
