NECC Women's Soccer Pre-Season Poll

Lesley University is the coaches choice to finish atop the 2012 NECC women's soccer standings. The Lynx, who received eight first place votes and 96 points, return seven starters including 2011 NECC Player of the Year Veronica Halen from a squad that was unbeaten (9-0-0) in conference play a season ago but was upset 1-0 in the title game by Elms.

Mitchell College placed second with 85 points and one first place vote. The Mariners will be led by NECC Goalkeeper of the Year junior Kaylee Woodford and NECC Rookie of the Year Maariyah Lombardo.

Elms College finished third in the poll followed by Becker College. The Blazers, who garnered 78 points in the poll, bring back five starters from their squad who claimed the schools second women's soccer title in four years. Becker's Jodi Theriault and eight starters are back for the Hawks who received 77 points and one first place vote.
