Watson and Walsh Named NECC Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference announced Player and Rookie's of the Week for the week of September 3rd to the 9th including Wildcat women's tennis player Symone Watson and Brittany Walsh.
NECC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Symone Watson, Bay Path
(JR, #1/#1 - Hamden, Conn.)
Watson helped lead the Wildcats to a 3-0 week defeating St. Joseph 5-4, Anna Maria 9-0 and MCLA 8-1. She went 3-0 at the #1 singles positions and 2-1 at the #1 doubles spot.
NECC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Brittany Walsh, Bay Path
(FR, #3/#3 - North Smithfield, R.I.)
Walsh is the only Wildcat to remain unbeaten in the 2012 campaign, including a 3-0 week against regional opponents St. Jospeh (5-4), Anna Maria (9-0) and MCLA (8-1). She was 3-0 in #3/#5 singles and 3-0 in #3 doubles.
